# How to use the test command in username/password authentication?

1\. Open your command prompt window by typing "cmd" and pressing enter.

2\. Paste the test command with the parameters from your proxy settings into the command prompt window and hit enter.

3\. The result will show you if the proxy parameters are working or not.
