# What happens if I run out of traffic?

If you have purchased a Residential Proxies - GB plan, you can set a traffic alert to be notified when you're running low on traffic. For example, if you have 100GB in your account balance, you might set the alert at 15GB. Then, once you've used 85GB of traffic, you'll receive an email to let you know that you have less than 15GB remaining in your account and that you should consider topping up. If your account continues to run without purchasing additional traffic and your usage reaches 100% of your account balance, your account will be paused until you top up.
