# How do Static Residential (ISP) Proxies work?

Your requests are forwarded using real IPs from Internet Service Providers while your own IP address is hidden. ISP proxies use the Autonomous System Number (ASN) of the Internet Service Provider while also granting you the blazing fast speeds synonymous with proxies from high-speed servers.
