Sub-Users
In this article, we will guide you through managing your sub-users. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the concepts of Username/Password and Sub-Users by reviewing our "Authentication Methods" documentation beforehand.
You can conveniently manage your sub-users directly from our dashboard, including aspects such as passwords, permissions, and quotas.
Creating Sub-Users
To begin creating a sub-user, kindly navigate to the "Sub-Users" section on the sidebar menu of your dashboard. This will lead you to the Sub-Users Dashboard.
The system automatically generates 1 proxy user sp, in order to protect the security of your account, the default password for logging in to the dashboard will not be used, but a random password will be generated instead. If you modify the proxy user credentials, the dashboard password will not change accordingly (and vice versa).
To create a new user to connect to your proxies, click on the "Add Sub-User" button to initiate the creation of your sub-user.
There are 5 fields in the Add Sub-User page:
The 1st one is the required field for setting the sub-user's username, which will be used to connect to your proxies.
The 2nd one is the required field for setting the password.
The 3rd and 4th fields are optional fields for quota limitation. If your account has traffic, the number you fill in the "Traffic limit" field is the traffic quota you want to assign to the sub-user (you can choose the unit as GB, MB or KB). If your account has IP counts, the number you fill in the "IPs limit" field is the IP quota you want to assign to the sub-user (the unit is IP counts).
The 5th one is an optional field for you to fill in the remarks. Finally, click on the "Submit" button to complete the creation of your sub-user.
Editing Sub-Users
To modify passwords, add, edit, or remove specific user's traffic or IP limit, click on the "Edit" button on the far right of the sub-user's row in the list, fill in the appropriate fields.
To modify the status of a sub-user, you may choose to "Enable" or "Disable" it. Then click on the "Submit" button to save your changes.
You can change the password for the corresponding sub-user to make sure only authorized and trusted sources are using your generated proxy list. Modifying the password can prevent your traffic or IPs from being consumed when unauthorized external parties gain access to your generated proxy list.
Deleting Sub-Users
To delete a proxy user, click on the "Delete" button on the far right of the sub-user's row in the list. If there are still remaining quotas in your sub-user, they will be returned to your Master user.
The proxy user sp, which is automatically generated by the system, is your Master user and cannot be deleted. You can only modify fields other than the username.
That's all for sub-user settings, for further information on username/password authentication settings and how to obtain your proxies, please check out the corresponding Proxy Usage Guides:
